Bagi mereka yang akan binasa berita tentang salib dianggap suatu kebodohan Namun demikian bagi kita yang diselamatkan Allah berita itu menunjukkan kekuasaan-Nya

Orang jasmani yang tidak mempunyai Roh tidak dapat menerima hal-hal daripada Roh Allah kerana dia menganggap hal-hal itu kebodohan semata-mata dan dia tidak dapat memahaminya disebabkan hal-hal itu hanya dapat dinilai secara rohani
