Mereka memotong tali sauh dan membiarkannya tenggelam di laut Selepas itu mereka melucutkan tali kemudi lalu menaikkan layar di haluan supaya angin meniup kapal itu menuju ke pantai

Begitu juga dengan kapal walaupun besar dan digerakkan oleh angin kencang tetapi kapal hanya dikendalikan oleh kemudi yang amat kecil Kapal bergerak ke arah yang ditentukan oleh pengemudi
