Raja Herodes menyuruh orang mencari Petrus tetapi tidak berjaya Lantas Raja Herodes mengeluarkan perintah supaya askar-askar yang berkawal itu disoal siasat dan kemudiannya dihukum bunuh Selepas itu Raja Herodes berpindah dari Yudea ke Kaisarea lalu tinggal di sana
