Pada suatu hari ketika Yesus bersama mereka Dia berpesan supaya mereka jangan meninggalkan Yerusalem Kata-Nya Haruslah kamu menantikan apa yang dijanjikan Bapa dan yang telah kamu dengar daripada-Ku

1 Corinthians 7:10

Kepada yang sudah berkahwin inilah perintahku yang sebenarnya bukan perintah aku tetapi perintah Tuhan Seorang isteri tidak boleh meninggalkan suaminya

1 Corinthians 7:11

Tetapi jika seorang isteri telah meninggalkan suaminya dia mesti terus hidup bersendirian atau dia boleh balik kepada suaminya Seorang suami tidak boleh menceraikan isterinya

AV: But <1161> and <2532> if <1437> she depart <5563> (5681), let her remain <3306> (5720) unmarried <22>, or <2228> be reconciled <2644> (5649) to [her] husband <435>: and <2532> let <863> (0) not <3361> the husband <435> put away <863> (5721) [his] wife <1135>.

1 Corinthians 7:15

Namun demikian jika seseorang yang tidak beriman hendak meninggalkan isteri atau suaminya yang beriman biarkanlah dia berbuat demikian Jika ini terjadi saudara atau saudari itu tidak terikat lagi Allah mahu kamu semua hidup aman damai
