Maka bala kebuluran menimpa bumi Israel pada zaman pemerintahan para hakim Pada masa itu ada seorang lelaki dari Betlehem di Tanah Yehuda datang menghuni di negeri Moab bersama-sama isteri dan dua orang anak lelakinya
