Segera sesudah Gideon mendengar mimpi itu diceritakan dengan maknanya sujudlah dia menyembah Allah Kemudian dia kembali ke perkhemahan orang Israel lalu berkata Bangunlah kerana Tuhan telah menyerahkan perkhemahan orang Midian ke dalam tanganmu

Tetapi sesudah Ahab mati raja Moab memberontak menentang raja Israel
