Joshua 10:20

Yosua dan orang Israel hampir-hampir selesai memusnahkan bani Amori itu sama sekali namun ada beberapa orang daripada mereka yang dapat menyelamatkan diri mereka lalu masuk ke kota-kota berkubu

Joshua 10:30

Kota itu juga berserta rajanya diserahkan Tuhan ke dalam tangan orang Israel Yosua memusnahkan penduduknya dan setiap jiwa yang ada di dalamnya dengan mata pedang Tiada seorang pun ditinggalkannya hidup Dia memperlakukan rajanya seperti dia memperlakukan raja Yerikho

Tuhan menyerahkan Lakhis ke dalam tangan orang Israel dan Yosua menawan kota itu pada hari kedua Dia memusnahkan penduduknya dan setiap jiwa yang ada di dalamnya dengan mata pedang seperti semua yang dilakukannya terhadap Libna

Orang Israel menjarah semua barangan di kota-kota itu berserta ternakannya tetapi mereka memusnahkan semua manusia sama sekali dengan mata pedang Tiada yang ditinggalkan hidup daripada semua yang bernafas
