Terlalu kecilkah bagimu bahawa kamu telah dikhususkan oleh Allah Israel daripada kalangan umat Israel untuk dibolehkan kamu tampil dekat kepada-Nya melaksanakan pekerjaan di Khemah Suci Tuhan serta bertugas melayani umat

maka dia boleh menyelenggarakan ibadat demi nama Tuhan Allahnya seperti semua saudaranya iaitu kalangan bani Lewi yang bertugas di sana di hadapan Tuhan

Nehemiah 12:44

Pada hari itu beberapa orang diangkat untuk mengawasi bilik-bilik perbendaharaan tempat menyimpan persembahan khusus hasil pertama dan persembahan sepersepuluh Maksudnya ialah supaya sumbangan yang menurut hukum Taurat menjadi bahagian para imam dan bani Lewi dapat dikumpulkan dalam bilik-bilik itu dari ladang-ladang di setiap kota Orang Yehuda memang bersukacita kerana para imam dan bani Lewi yang bertugas itu

Ezekiel 44:11

Mereka boleh bertugas di tempat suci-Ku menjadi pengawas di pintu-pintu gerbang Bait Suci dan menyelenggarakan ibadat di dalam Bait Suci Mereka boleh menyembelih korban bakaran dan korban sembelihan bagi bangsa itu serta bertugas melayani bangsa itu

Ezekiel 44:15

Akan tetapi mereka yang akan mendekat kepada-Ku untuk menyelenggarakan ibadat bagi-Ku ialah para imam Lewi dari bani Zadok yang menunaikan tugas di tempat suci-Ku ketika orang Israel berpaling daripada Aku Mereka akan bertugas di hadirat-Ku untuk mempersembahkan lemak dan darah kepada-Ku demikianlah firman Tuhan Allah

Ezekiel 44:24

Dalam sesuatu perkara mereka harus bertugas sebagai hakim dan mengadili menurut peraturan-peraturan-Ku Mereka harus berpegang teguh pada segala hukum-Ku dan ketetapan-ketetapan-Ku pada segala hari perayaan-Ku serta menjaga kesucian hari-hari Sabat-Ku
