Leviticus 1:4

Kemudian hendaklah dia meletakkan tangannya di atas kepala korban bakaran itu maka persembahan itu akan diterima demi pendamaian dirinya

Hendaklah imam mempersembahkannya seekor sebagai korban penghapus dosa dan yang seekor lagi sebagai korban bakaran Hendaklah imam mengadakan pendamaian demi orang itu di hadapan Tuhan kerana lelehannya itu

Hendaklah dia mengadakan pendamaian demi Tempat Suci atas sebab kenajisan orang Israel dan kerana segala pelanggaran mereka yang berkaitan apa-apa pun dosa mereka Demikianlah harus diperlakukannya ke atas Khemah Pertemuan yang ada bersama-sama mereka di tengah-tengah kenajisan mereka

Leviticus 16:18

Kemudian hendaklah dia keluar menuju mazbah yang ada di hadapan Tuhan lalu mengadakan pendamaian demi mazbah itu Hendaklah dia mengambil sebahagian daripada darah lembu jantan dan daripada darah kambing jantan itu lalu membubuhnya pada tanduk-tanduk di sekeliling mazbah
