Maka pergilah Musa menyampaikan kepada umat itu semua perintah dan peraturan yang difirmankan Tuhan Seluruh umat itu pun menjawab dengan suara serentak Segala yang telah difirmankan Tuhan akan kami laksanakan

Kemudian datanglah seorang hamba Allah dari Yehuda ke Betel atas perintah Tuhan Pada waktu itu Yerobeam sedang berdiri di sisi mazbah untuk membakar dupa

Atas perintah Tuhan orang itu berseru terhadap mazbah itu katanya Wahai mazbah Wahai mazbah Beginilah firman Tuhan Sesungguhnya seorang anak akan lahir bagi keluarga Daud Yosia namanya Dia akan menjalankan ibadat korban di atasmu dengan para imam bukit-bukit pemujaan yang membakar dupa di atasmu dan tulang-tulang manusia akan dibakar di atasmu

Mazbah itu pun terbelah dan abu tercurah dari atasnya selaras dengan tanda ajaib yang diberitahukan oleh hamba Allah itu atas perintah Tuhan

Kerana perkataan yang diserukannya atas perintah Tuhan terhadap mazbah yang ada di Betel dan terhadap semua kuil di bukit-bukit pemujaan di kota-kota Samaria pasti akan terjadi

Di setiap wilayah dan di setiap kota di mana-mana sahaja perintah dan undang-undang raja itu sampai ada sukacita dan kegirangan dalam kalangan orang Yahudi ada jamuan dan hari yang baik hinggakan ramai orang di negeri itu menjadi orang Yahudi kerana diri mereka dilanda oleh rasa takut terhadap orang Yahudi

Maka pada hari ketiga belas pada bulan kedua belas iaitu bulan Adar apabila berkuat kuasanya perintah dan titah raja musuh orang Yahudi berharap akan berkuasa atas mereka Namun begitu hal yang sebaliknya terjadi kerana orang Yahudi pula berkuasa atas pihak-pihak yang memusuhi mereka
