Oleh sebab itu katakanlah kepada keturunan kaum Israel Beginilah firman Tuhan Allah Bertaubatlah dan berpalinglah daripada berhala-berhalamu Palingkanlah mukamu daripada segala kekejianmu

Katakanlah kepada mereka Demi Aku yang hidup demikianlah firman Tuhan Allah Aku tidak menyukai kematian orang fasiq Aku mahu agar orang fasiq bertaubat daripada perilakunya supaya dia hidup Bertaubatlah Bertaubatlah daripada perilakumu yang jahat itu Mengapakah kamu harus mati wahai keturunan kaum Israel
