Kemudian Musa berkata kepada Harun Katakanlah kepada seluruh jemaah Israel Marilah mendekati hadirat Tuhan kerana Dia telah mendengar rungutanmu

Maka Harun mendekati mazbah lalu menyembelih anak lembu korban penghapus dosa untuk dirinya

Apabila berangkat orang Lewilah yang harus membongkar Khemah Suci itu dan apabila hendak berkhemah orang Lewi pulalah yang harus memasangnya Orang awam yang berani mendekati Khemah itu harus dihukum mati

Hendaklah kamu menugaskan Harun dan anak-anaknya untuk menyandang jawatan imam Hendaklah orang awam yang berani mendekati khemah itu dihukum mati

Mereka yang berkhemah di depan Khemah Suci iaitu di sebelah timur di depan Khemah Pertemuan arah matahari terbit ialah Musa dan Harun berserta anak-anaknya Mereka berkewajipan menguruskan tempat suci dan menunaikan tugas bagi orang Israel Selain mereka hendaklah orang awam yang berani mendekati khemah itu dihukum mati

Numbers 18:3

Hendaklah mereka bertanggungjawab kepadamu serta melaksanakan seluruh pekerjaan dalam Khemah kecuali mereka tidak boleh mendekati kelengkapan-kelengkapan tempat suci atau mazbah supaya jangan mereka ataupun kamu mati

Numbers 18:7

Tetapi hendaklah kamu dan anak-anakmu memegang jawatan imam dalam segala hal yang berkaitan dengan mazbah serta apa yang ada di balik tabir Lakukanlah pekerjaan itu Jawatan imam Kukurniakan kepadamu sebagai suatu pemberian hendaklah orang awam yang berani mendekati Khemah itu dihukum mati

Numbers 18:22

Mulai sekarang jangan lagi orang Israel mendekati Khemah Pertemuan supaya jangan mereka tanggung dosa lalu mati
