Genesis 50:10

Apabila mereka tiba di tempat pembantingan Atad yang terletak di seberang Sungai Yordan merataplah mereka dengan suara yang kuat lagi memilukan Lalu Yusuf menetapkan tujuh hari perkabungan untuk ayahnya

Genesis 50:11

Apabila penduduk negeri itu iaitu bani Kanaan melihat perkabungan di tempat pembantingan Atad itu berkatalah mereka Ini perkabungan yang besar bagi orang Mesir Itulah sebabnya tempat di seberang Yordan itu dinamai Abel-Mizraim
