Dia memikirkan hal itu sehalus-halusnya Suatu malam dia bermimpi bahawa malaikat Tuhan memperlihatkan diri kepadanya lalu berkata Hai Yusuf anak Daud Janganlah takut mengambil Maria sebagai isterimu kerana anak di dalam kandungannya adalah daripada Roh Kudus

Matthew 2:13

Selepas itu malaikat Tuhan memperlihatkan diri dalam mimpi kepada Yusuf lalu berkata Herodes akan mengeluarkan perintah supaya mencari dan membunuh Anak itu Bangunlah Bawalah Anak itu dan ibu-Nya ke Mesir Tinggallah di situ hingga Aku berfirman kepadamu
